Jacksons Australia History

Jacksons origins lie in a 3-way business partnership established in 1992 in Bowhill, SA.

By 1997 Wayne & Marg Jackson had acquired their partner’s interest in the venture and the family-owned business, now known as Jacksons Australia, was created.

A year later, the decision was made to relocate to Murray Bridge and build larger, modern premises. Once there, the business continued to grow and the product range offered quickly expanded. By 2003 factory floor space was doubled to accommodate the required level of production.

Continued Growth

In 2009 Wayne & Marg embarked upon another venture and began Jacksons 4×4 Accessories as a separate business and premises. This ARB stockist store also offers numerous other tried and trusted brands of vehicle/touring/off-road accessories.

With new growth and increased staff of varying skill levels and backgrounds, Jacksons diversified and expanded fabrication to manufacturing “Carry Me Camper” boxes and componentry for Phil and Sandy Candy at “Candy Canvas”.

When the Candys retired in 2014, Jacksons purchased the “Carry Me Camper” side of their business. Our familiarity with the product, as well as with the history and progression of the camper over the years, this seemed like a great fit with both the Jacksons businesses. Continued product development and improvement to the camper design and construction has progressed over the passing years. Transitioning to all aluminium construction as well as the introduction of a “Hard Lid” model has proven very popular.

Jacksons businesses work tirelessly to build a strong reputation for friendly, country style customer service. We believe in giving our customers all the facts, (pros and cons), so they can make well informed choices about our range of user friendly, quality products. We also respect and value the long-term relationships we have built with our suppliers – this in turn ensures customers always receive the very best value for money.
